    Reasons to provide a schema: 1) Validation -- for custom apps. and generic ones like XML editors. 2) Formalism can be good 3) Guide to why you did it that way (can add comments) which helps others parse and transform BrainDump data for other applications.

    The last is really good because it means you may avoid writing any XSL (shudder) in the future.
